The Story
Dense purple black to the rim, not quite opaque, with a nose of creamy black fruits, very fresh and juicy, perfumed with hints of violet. On the palate sweet dense black fruit, spiced and almost peppery, with a light grilled note behind, lightly creamed and very elegant, with surprisingly less brute power than in previous years, with super-ripe tannins underscoring the fruit and going to a racy, tight finish.
