The Story
The Grézeaux vines are the Baudry’s oldest at around 50 years. They lie on a flat, sandy site near the Vienne River in Cravant, the vineyard has gravel in Grézeaux, giving the wine more weight and length. wine is aged in concrete tank for 15 months and bottled without filtration. Beautiful balance of dark fruit and structure. I am struck by the length that seems to continue for a surprising time. The complexity of this wine made it joyful but almost overwhelming. I kept coming back for further tastes as this wine has immense character and charm.
