The Story
A blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Carignan, the Courier Rouge is medium to deep garnet in color. It needs considerable shaking to wake up notes of kirsch, raspberry coulis, redcurrant jelly, and mandarin peel, with wafts of candied violets, iris, garrigue, and crushed rocks. The medium to full-bodied palate is lively and so, so soft with licorice-laced red and black fruits and a long earthy finish.
